Default Seen this yet?

'05 PSE bow, the Vengeance!

Tried to link pic, won't let me

Looks pretty nice, aesthetics and spec wise, perhaps a tad low on IBO if that's your gig...

Here's the rest of the '05 line-up-

Looks like more companies are getting into more vertical limbs. Also the hybrid cam.

I'm not to fond of the hybrid cams. My friend has a reflew w/ cam .5 and at full draw, there is little backwall compared to my bowtech stalker.

Good looing bow though.

Yep. Saw it on the Bowsite last week...and in the PSE catalog that showed up at my local dealer this past weekend. Neat looking bow....specially those string dampeners....

I bet the conversation between Mathews and PSE went something like this.....

PSE: Hey Matt, we are going to be putting some string dampeners on the end of our limbs. They are similar to yours. Would there be any problem with that?

Mathews: Well, maybe. We might have to sue for patent infringement.

PSE: In that case we might have to sue for all of the patents of ours that you are currently using on your bows.

Mathews: Ok then, lets just forget the whole issue and you can install whatever you like on your bows.

PSE: I thought you would see it our way.

...sorry, couldn't resist as the inside cover for the new PSE catalog has a big picture of Pete Shepley and an extensive explanation of all the patents they hold within the industry.

On another note, now Range....do you want to hear about the new '05 Jennings that I have in my possession?

I saw an ad for the Vengeance in a recent hunting magazine. Looked pretty nice but the ad didn't list anything like the axle to axle, brace, etc. You know, those little insignificant things.

Another Mathews-like trend is that all their flagship bows are 4+ lbs. Sorry but I don't want to carry any more weight up the mountain than I have too....HAve to weigh less than 4 lbs. or I ain't lookin'!!

Different strokes I guess... It's a trend I'm happy to see, saves me from taping fishing weights on the riser I've come to the conclusion that 4# is the minimum bare bow I'd want. The added stability and vibration/recoil reducing attributes of a few extra ounces really are noticeable.

Perhaps you could lose 1# elsewhere?

Yeah, I got about 20# I could lose elsewhere[]...but none of it is at the end of my finger tips hiking 20 miles at 10,000 feet elevation........
