Default String silencers

I bought some rubber string silencers, seen here

They are supposed to tie right on the string, but when i do, they slip up and down pretty easily. Any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

did you use serving thread to tie them on or did you tie the wiskers in a knot around the string?

They come with string already attached that you are suppose to tie them on with. I'm guessing just a knot around the string but they move really easily.

This is a good tutorial on how to tie them on:

Thanks, i read that before but wasn't sure about putting super glue on the string. I'll give it a try.

If your string is waxed, the glue flakes off easily. I set my peep serving with it and coat tied in nocks with it as well. It's never caused any damage in the past....just don't go too crazy with it.
