Default Patriot and Hicks Slide

Well it seems simple enough. I just bought a hicks slide for my Patriot and I'm having a problem installing it. The problem is that I can't detach my cable guard from the riser. I took out the set screw and the thing won't budge. Does it just pull out, or screw out? This should have been a 2 minute project, its almost embarrasing that I need to ask for help but when your dealing with a bow that costs as much as this you don't want to make a mistake.

I agree with Cloud to change slides you dont have to take the cable guard off just slide the old cable slide off the back and put the new one on the same way.

Ya normally I would agree. The Bowtech slide came right off, no problem. But the way the hicks slide is setup the cable guard runs through it and the string actually rides inside the slide. When I put the slide on the string and then try and get the slide around the back of the cable guard there is way to much tension for it to happen.

I got it. Thanks guys. I think I might have screwed up my knock point and threw my rest of wack in the process but... atleast the slide is on.
