Default If you ever wanted to see what a carbon....

.....arrow looked like when peeled.....

....then here ya go.

This is only my third robin hood in my entire shooting "career" and the first ever carbon robin hood that I have had the privelege to shoot. If you cannot tell I am very proud of it (though truth be told I know it was s..... luck )

The best part was that I did it with my dinky little bow set to my not so dinky draw length and arrows that aren't even supposed to be that straight. I think she is ready for the season.

Congrats?......I hope they weren't 2 of your "Go Time" arrows for the season!?
Since I switched over to my A/C/C 3-60's for the hunting season, when I practice I have to keep stopping myself from shooting groups at all......so many times I just want to jam another arrow in there. Just......don't.......do......it.

Cool Frank, and like Matt said, I shoot ACC's as well and I can't get myself to shoot arrows into groups.......I choose to shoot one arrow at several different dots and determine the group by concept......

LOL, I was thinking the same thing! Looks like a PSE/Bowtech hybrid bow.

Congrats on the robin hood.

Nice shooting, Frank!

Guess you are ready for October. I guess it's fair to assume that you don't have a cracked limb?[8D]

BTW, are you on the Sims Advisory staff?[8D]

Congrats excellent shooting.

I was so close to my first one last night, i broke the nock and split the arrow but the second arrow glanced off and ended up in the target.

Thanks guys. I am still pretty enthused about it this morning. I cannot believe it finally happened.

Some of you folks that have been around for awhile know that I absolutely love to tinker with new equipment on my bows. I also love to see how quiet and vibe free I can get them (remember the rubber inserts in the riser cutouts in past years?) while still getting a good flat trajectory from the bow/arrow combination. Since this is going to be my hunting bow for the season I decided to deck it out with as many dampening devices as were relatively practical. One thing I picked up from handling one of Len's bows is that you can take a relatively light bow with attractive specs and then weigh it down considerably to increase the bow's potential accuracy level. I have never been one who was much for long, heavy stabilizers as they tend to add too much weight in the wrong places thus all the Sims gear distributed throughout the entire bow.

You should try to hear how quiet it is.

I like your set-up. I've always been one to pay extra attention to the quietness of my bows, so it's nice to see another who considers it important. Good luck with it!
