What is the SINGLE most important thing you feel you have learned from here?

For me, overwhelmingly, it had to be the knowledge of what quality arrows mean to your set-up. Going from ICS carbons to ACCs was night and day for me.

Arthur said it best, and Jeff had it as a sig line for eons, but I found that getting quality spec matched arrows to have had the biggest impact on my shooting by far, not to mention my confidence... Shot goes wrong, I have no doubts it was me and can take appropriate corrective action.

You?

I couldn't give you one Range...I really couldn't...I'll give my top 3 though

1) I learned how much poor information/advice/service is given out by "pro" shops around the country

2) That very few things in archery are set in stone

3) That you can make some great friends through the medium of the internet (you know who you are)

I don't know who it was that pointed me to the tuning guide on the easton site but I think that is the single greatest tool that I've got from this site. I can't single it to a specific piece of knowlengs I've aquired but the contents of the tuning guide has changed the way I look at my bow.

Same here. Even now when I go into those shops sometimes I can't help but to shake my head at what I hear. I've also learned that you can save yourself time and money by investing time into becomming self sufficient.

Philosophically:

The importance of always keeping an open mind.

Technically:

That there is an incredible amount of information out there which is just beginning to be tapped via the internet...and this forum is a great place to start.

I cant pick one single thing out. I get loads of great ideas here. I also get a larger scope on problems solving that I might not have come to mind.

I have seen that as well. I dont go to proshops anymore. The last one I went to insulted my intelegence and keep insisting I needed all kinds of things I didnt. I dont know how I could go in to buy fletching and a guy can tell right away what all else I need.

Actually the worst places Ive been are gun shops. I go in to buy a rubberized stock for a 300 wby and the guy starts off telling me I need a new barrell, new sling, a new Zeiss scope, etc. All I wanted was a new stock, I have every thing else I want.

Well... That's what brought me here in the first place

But it is a wide spread problem, which makes your other thread even more interesting, as these whack jobs are the ones serving the masses...
