I have a two year old Hoyt Magnatech that shoots great, but the top wheel (it is a single cam) makes a little noise the first time you draw it....after that it is very quiet. The problem is after it sets for an hour or so......you guessed it .......it makes a noise. I lubed the bushing / axle with WD40 and the noise stopped for a few days, but then started again. My guess is the lube dried up.......any ideas on how to better lubricate??
There is very little actual lubricant in WD-40, I would not recommend using it.
Press the bow, pull the axle, make sure the bearings/bushings are OK (as well as the Axle) clean them, and then lube with a white lithium type grease, teflon lube, or similar.

If you squirted WD40 on it, then you really need to have the bow taken apart and have it cleaned/lubed. WD40 is crap in a can. It's good for freeing rusty bolts and removing bumper stickers, but NEVER use it on bows. Or guns, fishin' reels.... anything with precision components.
Go to Wal-Mart and get you a small can of Lithium Grease put bow in a bow press and pull that axle and clean and lube it . That should take away that little noise .
