Default Adjusting Draw Poundage

Does anyone know of any tips when trying to adjust the poundage on a hoyt bow. I want to up my poundage and want to make sure that I don't effect the timing of the cams.

Thanks in advance

I don't know if its the same on the older model Hoyts buy on mine there are limb pocket lock screw on the sides of the limb pockets that need to be loosened. Notice the loosened not taken out. then you can adjust the limb bolts. As far as trying to keep them in time, its not as critical with single cam bows as it is in two cams bows. You need to make sure you turn boths bolts the same amount. Another way I use to check this is the measure the tiller. Make sure both measurements are the same on top and bottom.

You can take fingernail polish or touch up paint and paint a mark from the center of the limb bolt out to the limb itself one straight line so when you turn the limb bolt to adjust the draw weight all you have to do is match the lines back up the same way every time you turn it!
