Default Bow sight help needed

I have a Golden Eagle Carbine Hawk bow that has a cable guard that attaches to a plate, which bolts to the riser. I wanted to put a new sight on it, a newer model that gathers more light for my older eyes. Today I bought a Cobra Easy Slide Extreme at Cabelas. I tried to put it on my bow, but, because of this cable guard plate, the sight pin will not come to alignment with the rest and string. Can some recommend a sight that has a longer pin.

Mike,

If I am understanding your predicament correctly, your sight does not have enough horizontal adjustment to get it lined up correctly with your point of impact. Some sights do present this problem especially with some of the bows that have an especially large centershot.

I would suggest looking for a sight with alot of horizontal adjustment. Copper John's Deadnuts, PSE's F series, Spott Hogg's hunting sights or even the Extreme line of sights should work nicely.

Personally, I would take the bow to your local shop, or Cabelas, when you go to purchase your next sight. Actually have them mount a demo model on the bow to see if it will offer you enough room to adjust.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, will do. The PSE F-series looks good (and affordable!).
