I've heard some good things about them. I looked at parkers myself. You may want to ask bigbulls I think he is shooting one now. and yes they are still up around 600. good luck

I own 3 Parker Bows and my 3rd and most recent addition was the Parker Phoenix 34.
I took the bow out of the box and checked the draw weight with the limbs bottomed out, it's a 50-60lb bow pulling 63lbs out of the box. It draw's smooth and seems to balance in the hand very well. I find it to be quiet at the shot, my only improvement was to remove the factory string and add a Stone Mountain Dakota Pre Streched Bow String on the bow. It feels easy to hold back against the wall at full draw. I also disliked the grip, although it is hand warming and cusioning to the hand, I feel a gap between the grip and the bow riser , I found that when I draw I feel to much movement under the hand in the grip. Now this maybe due to the fact that I shoot a very low wrist grip, so I removed the grip and self made a custom grip of my own to use until a friend of mine gets done making me a custom corian grip for the bow.
I found the bow easy to setup and a breeze to paper tune. The bow is shooting great and achieving good speed. I really like it so far

Before I go any further, I want to point out that I have NEVER shot a Parker. I just want to relay some information that may or may not be accurate. Anyway, I was shopping for bows recently, and the Phoenix 32 was the leader until very recently. On paper, it had it all, as I was very put off by the brace height of the Outback. Then I read the Outdoor Life bow test. The Phoenix they tested was very slow in relation to other bows with similar cam-types and brace height. Now, I have no explanation at all for that, and I suppose there could be numerous reasons for this including, one bad bow, flawed test etc. OTOH, if the numbers are correct, that bow was well short of its advertised speed. I realize speed is not everyone's priority, but because this is a place where people look for opinions and information, I just wanted to point that out.

The pheonix 32 has a 6.75" brace
The Outback has a 7-5/8 brace.....
The Outback has a much better brace......

I suppose better for some. I wanted it as short as possible. I have been shooting low brace bows for quite some time. I have a somewhat short draw, and am not bothered by that at all. I am not willing to give up power stroke for the sake of forgiveness that I personally do not need. That is why I chose the LX over the OB. I really do not see why you felt the need to roll your eyes.
O.K. - so its the speed that put you off......not the brace....
would you chose a slower bow with a shorter brace over a faster bow with a larger brace?
I officially retract myand replace it with a
