On Fall away rests, how do you position your vanes/feathers?

I use a zero effect and prefer it down. But all things being equal, it really shouldnt matter if you have the clearance.

I shoot a Trophy Taker and I place the cock feather out to the left, also making sure the other two feathers have enough clearance on the riser/shelf.

I shoot I feather out. I have found with my AR that the feathers will hit the cable. Rest is great though. Drop Zone

NAP QT 2000 and I shoot with it down. I have tried it with the cock feather in all different directions and it made no difference but I got used to having it down when I shot with a prong fixed rest so I still shoot like that.
