Default stripped screws

What is the easiest way to remove stripped screws from an alluminum riser?

Is the screw thread messed up or is the riser's threaded hole screwed up. Then there is the possibilty of the head of the screw being screwed up. Can you be more specific?

Very carefully cut a groove in the screw head with a hack saw then use a screw driver to undo the screw.

A Dremel tool can be used much more easily, especially if it's a countersunk screw head. The heat generated by the Dremel will also assist in loosening the bond.

Good luck.
