Default timing the Cam 1/2

I read not too long ago in a magazine about timing the cams on hoyt bows. I don't have the slightest idea where to begin. Just wondering if anyone could explain. Thanks

If you will look on the side of each cam you will find two timimg marks on them , your string only needs to be within them marks . if they are not use a bow press and twist your string or cable

nub is correct timing has to be checked at full draw.
I have seen timing marks be dead on the money at rest and under rotated at full draw.

Thats because Those are not Timing marks, those are performance marks.
I actually had to put about a dozen twists in my cable and get well outside one of the marks in order to get my Cybertec to shoot thru paper.

good point 2droptine. a lot of people confuse timing, and performance.

i did the same myself until i bought a cps cam, and was corected.

Nub is correct , if you tune to hoyts cam marks , your bow will be out , feel like a twin cam out of tune , double bump at the end of the draw . Tuned like nub shows you , it will hold and shoot better . I seems to me that hoyt put the marks in the wrong spot , but Im sure someone will argue that point .

thanks guys I appreciate the help. The timing was nearly perfect, but now I know how to check it and fix it if need be. Thanks.
