Default How does draw weight work?

I was just wondering how tightening the limbs on a bow actually change the draw weight? Does it change your ata length and brace height when you do so? thanks-Sam

Default RE: How does draw weight work?

It puts more prestress on the limbs, thus more weight. The brace height and ATA should decrease, but not by any amount you're likely to be able to measure.
