Default Vibrating cables

On my OLD Whitetail Hunter bow, the cables cross in the middle of the bow and they are constantly touching. When I shoot it they vibrate so bad that I might as well clap my hands together and it would be about the same sound level. Is there anything i can put inbetween there to keep them from rattling? Like atheletic tape or something.

Default RE: Vibrating cables

not really, because as you draw the bow, the cables move and aren't touching in the same place as at rest. Try tying on some cat whiskers and give that a try. They absorb alot of vibration. I have this same bow at home, although I have retired it. Remember too, that this is an old bow and wasn't engineered for silence.
