Default Thinking abot buying one of Larry Wise's books

I need to do a lot of learning about the mechanics behind bows and i dont like coming here with all kinds of easy questions that i could answer myself with half decent reference books.

Which of his books would be best for a novice?

Are there any other books by other authors that might be a better starting poitn for me?

thanks

I have two of his tuning books. Not bad, but for a lot less $ you can do as well or better with the Easton Tuning Guide. (It might even be downloadable for free.)

i downloaded it already, i am lookign for something that goes more in depth into the mechaincs and workings of the bow.

Eastons guide seems really good for getting the arrow shooting properly but i am looking for something to show how to set draw lengths, draw weights, cam timing, stuff like that.

I have heard his new book is really good. Also look at Dave Holts new book!

I've got a copy of Wise's 'Tuning and Silencing Your Compound Shooting System'. I can recommend it for the beginner. It's not quite inclusive enough for advanced tuning on a target bow, but it'll get your hunting rig up and running.
