Default Carbon arrows

I have only shot alumminum arrows but now I might switch to carbons. I have no idea what size shaft to shhot. My bow is 70lb, 271/2 draw I usually shoot 100 grain tips and broadheads. I checked the easton chart and it said 400's ? The reson I havnt changed to carbons is the $$$ so if price is too high I will have to stick with the alumminums. Thank you.

Get some Gold Tips... you can get the economical ones for about the price of xx75s.... about $50-65 a doz. You'd need 5575s... These arrows are very tough and very well out of my bow

KBacon is right, the Gold tips are very good arrows and the prices arent bad. I am shooting the gold tip hunters 5575 out of my PSE with about the same setup as you. At the shop were i buy them they are 65.00 a dozen, but i have seen them through mail order places for less. I think they are like 49.95 plus s&h and cutting to length from www.keystonecountrystore.com. I have paided more for XX75's before. Carbons arent indestructible though, they wont bend but they will shatter if you hit something really hard. I have never had one bust going through a shoulder blade, but they dont do well hitting trees or the rebar in the legs of 3-D targets. They are definetly worth a try.

Yep, I'd say if budget is paramount, then GoldTip XT Hunters are hard to beat.

Easton Epics & Carbon Express Terminator Selects are also great values.

Carbon Express Terminator Selects are great for the money. I dunno about the Goldtips, but i've heard alot of good things about them. you could change your head weight too. i was going to shoot 100's but my pro shop guy set me up with 75's and the bow shoots sweeeet.

Do yourself a favor and buy arrows that are at least .003" straight. Six thousandths +- does not seem like much but it is. If the arrows fall within advertised specs they can be out as much as 12 thousandths from one end to the other. You can see that much wobble with the naked eye.

Carbon Express CX or terminator select, Gold tip XT, Carbon impact yellow, PSE extreme, Black Hawk vapors,

Here is a link to better arrows at a reasonable price at Ebay.
