Default Hoyt Shooters!! Help?

Hey Guys, I am looking at a new bow and I was wondering if someone could explain the difference between a one cam and the cam 1/2. With the cam and 1/2 will I still have alot of timing issues. Also, what kind of speed will I get from it. Thanks, Tim

Timing a cam.5 is simple. I'm shooting a cam.5 after shooting the M brand for years and it is a a sweet cam. As far as speed just check the IBO on the model you are interested in. My ulra elite is shooting 275 at 5 gr. per lb at 27" It's faster than my LX and the LX has a 5 feet per second faster IBO.

I'm a holt staff shooter. holt's cam& 1/2 has level nock travel like one cam but has the speed of a two cam bow. Although the cams have to be timed, it's not as critical, because top cam follows the bottom cam.

Most staff shooters know how to spell the name of the company they shoot for, Ga Boy. You got it wrong TWICE!

Actually, I had a far worse time keeping single cam bows - with their long, creeping strings - in time than I ever had keeping dual cam bows timed and synched. Mathews' propaganda about timing and synch issues is a truckload of male bovine dung. It never was the problem they let on like it was. It's even less now, with improvements in string materials and manufacturing methods. Cam 1/2 is no worse than any other system when it comes to timing and synchronization.

Get a good aftermarket set of strings and cables, and don't worry about timing/synch issues.

Hoyt's cam and a half is fast enough and you won't have any timing issues with it.
I haven't had any with any of mine..
