how many of you that use a release actually have the string touching your nose and the your release anchoring the string right at the corner of your mouth. i see so many anchoring the string on there bottom jaw bone a 1/2 in or more past the corner of there mouth.do you think that is common for a release shooter? i have seen guys shoot very well that way. just wondering what your opinions are and how you anchor. do you think it makes a difference due to the a/a length due to string angle?
i think that it matters what is more comfortable to you. when i shoot i have my kisser button in the corner of my mouth, my nose on the string, and my release is about 3/4 of an inch past the corner of my mouth. maybe a little more or a little less. maybe this is a form issue so hopefully someone else can give you some more info. i have no clue what the right form from the wrong form is. i just shoot the way that feels comfortable to me.
Same here i think it pretty much what is more comfortable to you, But my anchor point is the same as some others here nose touching the string and my release 3/4 inch part my jaw? I think that the a/a has something to do with it becouse of the angle of the string. Like i sead i think it does not really sure sorry!
I don't let the string touch my nose because I have to lean forward to do so. I just use my peep to anchor and my realease just kind of sets in the right place.
At full draw, my knuckle digs into my earhole, the string touches my nose, the feather slips into the far corner of my mouth, and my no-peep lines up perfectly.

I've tried several different anchors over the years..low..high..you name it. The best one for me (for accuracy and back tension) is also the hardest for me to repeat unfortunately
I anchor with the knuckle at the base of my first finger right at the base of the jaw bone where it curves upward under the ear. Over the years I've tried to touch string to nose, but with anything but the longest bows these days, I find I have to lean into the string and if you just practice doing that without a bow you will feel the tension build up in your neck and shoulders. There's even more stress when you have a bow drawn. I try to keep my head as upright as possible.
My thumb and 2nd finger wrap around the barrell of my release in an "O" shape but very little if any contact is made on the barrell or the release. My third finger & pinky are relaxed and curl up into the palm.
Trigger finger is on the trigger at the second (from the tip of the finger) joint, and up against the barrell/head as well.
As I reach full draw and anchor I tilt my head slightly over towards the string to get into the peep.
