i have my pins set for 10 20 and 30 yards. the problem is my 30 yard pin shoots about 6 inchs high at 30 yards and six inches low at 40 yards. my question is should i just leave my pins and use the 20 with a higher hold out to 30 yards and the 30 yard pin for over 30 yards, or reset my pins to 20 30 and 40 yards? (by the way i can't bring the 30 yard sight any higher without moving the 20 yard sight.)
Reset your pins to 20, 30 and 40. At the speeds today's bows shoot, a 10 yard pin is a waste of time and effort. Just do some shooting at 10 yards to figure out how low to hold your 20 pin to put the arrow on the spot.
where does your arrow hit if you use the 20yrd pin at 30 yrds? On my bow.. I start w/ my 30 yrd pin... when I shoot it at 20 yrds.. it is about an inch or less high.
I agree with Arthur on the 20, 30, and 40 setting. What kind of sight? Are there 2 rows that allow you to stagger the pins, thus allowing you to bunch them up a bit more?

The common mistake people make when attempting to design something completely Idiot proof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete Idiots.
I also agree 100% with Authur P 20 30 40yrds is the way you should set it ,there's no need for the 10yrd pin your 20yrd pin should be sufficient for your 10yrd shot.
I set my pins at 20, 30 and 40 yards. Found no need for 10 yard pin on the newer faster bows. I hold my 20 yard pin on for anything closer than 20 yards.
