Default Matthews Danpeners - what do you suggest?

I am breaking in my new LX and am going to play around with the configurtion of the dampeners in order to get a little more stability. I believe the bow came with the lighter ones installed. I am thinking that by changing the lower one to the heavier brass dampener. What do you experienced Matthews LX users suggest?

IME it is a personal preference issue ! By adding the brass dampiners you add weight........some folks don't like that ! IMO the aluminum dampiners are useless for dampining purposes........good for adjusting the mass weight of the bow or titling forward or backward !!

With an LX I would use both brass dampiners and adjust any tilt out with a stabilizer ! Try it both ways and see what you like........I just personally thought my LX was smoothest and quietest with the brass dampiners !

For me i use brass on bottom aluminum on top, add catwhiskers and forget about a stabilizer--but then again i'm shooting a legacy and that is just my set-up--experiment to find what combo YOU like the best.jmo.

When I first bought my LX I did the same thing, but I found that the heavier Brass Dampeners seemed to make the bow louder and heavier (of course), and did nothing that the Aluminum ones don't. So I put the Aluminum ones back in and have not changed since last summer!

I use brass. Use to just have one brass in the bottom, and an aluminum on top, but i changed to a brass about a week ago. Ill probably change back though.
