Default New Jennings bows any good?

I looked a Jennings Rackmaster last night and was really impressed. It is last years model and on sale for 299. I have it on hold for up to 5 days but havent totally made up my mind. Now I have 4yold Jennings and the technology today is far superior. Any one have a new jennings or have shot one?
Just a side note the dealer there also showed me a PSE Nova. He said the shoot awesome but there is something about them that makes in uneasy.

Default RE: New Jennings bows any good?

Let me start off by saying that I like the Rackmaster. I had one two years ago and thought it shot very well. However, you do have to consider that the design is not really "new". The Rackmaster looks very similar to the Mathews FX, Bowtech Stalker and to a lesser extent even a Hoyt Havoc or Reflex Denali. Same axle to axle length, brace height, cam design, speed rating etc.. For some folks that is not enough but for others it is more than adequate. The fact that the overall specs/design itself have been used by such a wide variety of manufacturers should say something.

Regular price locally for last year's Rackmaster was $349 though I saw it some places priced as low as $299. This year Jennings basically kept the same design but dubbed it the 3.3 for the 33 inch axle to axle length. Nice bow overall and if I was looking for something simple, reliable and relatively easy to setup for hunting then I would buy it again without hesitation.
