I just posted about this very thing on another thread.

youre power harness has stretched

twist the Power harness until you have youe draw weight back where it was, this will bring the draw length back to its original length.

Not exactly. Shortening the cable will increase the drawlength, but not necessarily to where it was originally. The string may or may not have stretched and when it does, it normally stretches more then the cable. The string is likely to also need some twists to get back to the original drawlength, but you will only know by measuring.

A little more info would be nice. Did you change anything that the bow would be different, such as the string and cables? Either way, to maintain the present drawlength and gain the weight you have to twist the string and the cable, thus putting more prestress on the limbs. Normally you have to put about twice as many twists in the string as the cable. Good way to know is to mark the cam where it passes through the bottom limb so you have a reference for drawlength.

if the string stretched it would have increased the bows weigh

I can almost guarantee that if the cable is twisted down to its original length the draw length will be very close to where it originally was before the cable stretched.

I deal with these kind of issues ona daily basis

Not noticably by any measurement I've ever taken. It will increase drawlength and therefore will store more energy, but draw weight is most affected by pre-stress on the limbs, which is controlled by the cable length. When a bow company designs a cam with a range of drawlengths, the poundage doesn't change appreciably by going to a longer one. However, shorten the cable by even 1/2" and you'll see a big difference.

THE POUNDAGE WILL AND DOES GO UP WITH A SHORTER CABLE AND DOES GO DOWN WITH A LONGER ONE JUST AS DOES THE POUNDAGE GOES UP WITH A LONGER STRING AND DOWN WITH A SHORTER ONE.

bip papa,

The reason these forums exit, is so we can discuss these types of things. If one guy knows everything and every other dummy should just shut up, then I guess no one should post except you. If you disagree, I have no problem. Give your reasons and leave it at that. Insulting other posters is not necessary. I certainly don't know everything about bows and don't mind being corrected, however I do mind your rudeness.
