Default Installed my WC strings and cables.....couple ???

Picked up my string and cable yesterday and installed them last night on the Outback!!
First bow work like this I have ever done........it was a pain in the arse.....but I got everything pretty much back to spec. ! It really is a sense of accomplishment to do it yourself......even if I did it all wrong !! [8D]

My cam is slightly over rotated , but only a smidge ! Brace height is on and my ata is short by 1/4 " !!

Did a little shooting and to my suprise.....bow is quieter with the WC....but may be because my cam was under rotated with the Zebra string !!

My ????

The bow seems to be pulling hard........don't have a scale.......but if I just have the cam slightly over rotated.........wouldn't it pull about the same poundage as before ???
Maybe it's cause I haven't shot in a couple of weeks ! Or maybe it's cause I shot the Liberty yesterday....[][:-]........just kiddin' .......there wasn't that much difference !!!

Second question.......I set my nock point a hair too low ........should I re-do it or leave it alone......my arrow is perpindicular to the string and is hitting on the lower side of the beger button hole.....I can see the top 1/3rd of the BB hole ! Seemed to be shooting O.K. but I didn't really get to shoot a lot !

Would you leave it ......or re-set it ??

See if I can remember all this. Your cam being over rotated means that your draw length is not the same, but longer. You can put a few more twists in the string and/or untwist the cable a bit to get that right. That, coupled with the shorter ATA means the bow weight is probably higher also, thus, the bow draws harder for you. There is more prestress on the limbs.

Secondly, being as you have new rigging, I would move the rest up a hair to center on the berger hole and move your nocking point accordingly. May as well set it up right to begin with.

When I change rigging I take some critical measurements and write them down. First thing I do is mark the side of the cam with pencil where it passes through the limb. This gets your cam rotation the same for drawlength purposes. Next:
ATA
Brace height
Peak weight
Nocking point height
Kisser height in relation to the nocking point
Peep height in relation to the nocking point

I don't get too excited about ATA as long as it is close. The rigging will stretch a bit so if it's a hair short I leave it alone till I get a hundred shots throguh the thing and then adjust as necessary.

Next time, consider this. Don't change the string and cable together. Change one at a time. Your old string and cable was already shot in and stretched. Change the string first and shoot it in. Then change the cable getting all your measurements right and then shoot this in. 100 shots on each should be enough to settle them.

Sorry CBM, didn't see this earlier and I don't know much about Mathews bows.

Over rotated cams (1, 2, or 1.5) will gain draw weight and length. When I first got my Hoyt Havoc single cam, the guy had it set on the shortest draw length pegs, and what the limb sticker said was a #70 bow was only pulling #64 with the limb bolts close to bottomed. Moving to the longer posts gained me over 7#. That would be similar to lengthening the string, or shortening the cable on your bow.
