Default arrow rests + wind resistance

my limbs should be in any day now and i'm thinking about the drop zone. last time i took off my shaky hunter and put on a bodoodle i definately noticed alot more wind resistance. i'm in the mountains and there is usually at least a slight breeze. i practice even when its windy as he!! - holding for a pause, and was wondering if anyone else has noticed this difference, and if it is important to them. i'd hate to spend the $ on it and then decide it catches too much wind.

Are you saying that you think the arrow rest is causing too much wind resistance?

There's much more surface area on the limb faces, riser faces, (and your arm) etc... to catch any wind compared to the arrow rest. Some of the Bodoodles do have a cup-shaped yolk that may provide some extra surface area, but in the big picture of things I don't think that I would worry about the wind resistance of one arrow rest compared to the other.

I've been shooting a DZ for a short while now and couldn't be happier. I notice no sort of increased wind drag. It fits more snugly to my riser then the cavalier I was shooting before.

I have shot my DZ in pretty windy conditions with no problems. Could not tell a difference between it and the WB which I shot prior to buying the DZ.

Are you guys serious? Is there not enough new and imporved items and theories to discuss that you're discussing which arrow rest is most aerodynamic? If it matters that much use a flipper!!

yeah blackfrog, when there is a cross wind from the way i'm shooting i can definately feel a difference between the two rests because of that cupped shape, and i shoot in windy conditions a lot in this valley, which is the same valley and hills i hunt. head or tail winds feel the same either way and don't bother me. and yeah, its reallllllllly sloooooow with my bow in the shop waiting on new limbs - i mean reallllllly slooooooow. no shooting for 7 days, no bow to look at, no releif til at least saturday. but then i get to get back to tinkerin.
