Default Target Backstop(s)?

We are wanting to add a addtional backstop(MUCH WIDER AND TALLER!) LOL to our targets.. as there have a few people who tend to send a few wild ones down range or into the next county! lol we were thinking of using stacked bails of straw, any know anything about the effects of straw on carbon arrows? Thanx in advance

Default RE: Target Backstop(s)?

i'd be worried about the bails not stopping the arrows until the fletchings were in the middle of them, and then if its your range you'll be doing lots of fletching for free. + you'll have to keep them out of the weather. (you could try having them move up until they can shoot -lol- but i guess that takes some fun out of it for them). i've seen threads on here about target making if you do some searching.

If you can get any road felt or mill felt, then just hang it up, that works great.
