Fletching

I have a question on fletching that I don't remember seeing anything about here. I was looking at some of my arrows today and noticed that the front edge on some of the vanes were not even with the other vanes on the same arrow.My question is this, if the vanes are not all even, say as far as the front edge of each one, does this make a difference in accuracy? I don't do my own arrows.

Some target shooters intentionally stagger their fletches by a 3/8" to 1/2" each for better accuracy. The theory is staggering them that way gives the stabilizing effect of fletches an inch longer. Not sure I agree with that, but I have tried it and it does seem to work.

So, no. Slightly staggered fletches will not negatively affect your accuracy.

They are not made perfect. I match the backs up and the fronts are were they end up. Not a problem.
