got one and love it.cradles arrows and quiet on draw with tubing on launcher.set it on the proper raised adj like trophy taker and you are set.absolutely no clearance problem with 3 fletch helical vanes,i went with a stouter spring and it is flawless.wait a minute i have a trophy shaker hunter on my other bow and yes it works fine but is a little noisy plus a little pricey to.for the money the gkf is a fine product.
The mirage rest by GKF , has to be the worst designed fallaway rest I have ever had the displeasure of putting on my bow . I have posted this in the past . It seems like every other person on the mesage boards is a "GKF staff shooter" or some nonsence . They must pay every time their name is mentioned , allmost like a cult . They have ripped off some designs that others have come out with ,WB , TT , and others .That said I like their premier line of prong rests , but seriously their fallaways are ripoffs of other companies ideas or pure junk .

I've had one on my bow since last season.....I'm split on whether or not to put a different drop away on or go back to my QT3000. I think the Mirage is simply poorly made.
The only complaint I could see a person having is the lack of micro adjustments. Mine has been on my bow for over a year and I had to do no adjustments on anything. How is that poorly made?
But to each his own. Sorry to hear that not everybody has had good luck with them.
Not sure how the mirage is a rip off of something else, I haven't seen another rest on the market that looks like it.

IBM, that spring steel arrow carrier/cradle fits sloppy. The horizontal bar is prone to bending an breakage(the original aluminum one). I had to have a steel sent to me shortly after I bought it and I haven't had any problems with it since. Micro adjust would be nice, but that's not the reason I'm not keen on it. I killed a deer with it, it works, I just think there is a lof room for advancement....maybe some bushings on the arrow cradle, and silence that thing with something other than a piece of rubber tubing and a pad of foam.
Yep, pretty much what Jason said. The hole that the arrow support fit into are just too sloppy. As a matter of fact, this is probably the noisiest rest I've had on a bow in about 20 years.

When you adjust , your horizontal setting , or your vertical setting , or the spring tention . You can not do it independantly , you effect all 3 when you need to adjust only one , very poor design
IL_BOW_MAN , The mirage is not a design ripoff , nither is the powerdrop , but their TKO rest is a blatent Trophy Taker ripoff , and the wisper disk , come on why didnt they just call it the GKF wisker bisquet .

i agree there could be some improvements on some of construction to make it a prolonged reliable rest. a more secure spring and better mounting security were the spring is mounted into the arm that lifts the cradle so the spring cant come out.as far as noise the trophy taker prong rest slaps down harder and is alot noisier to me.i have one and i think it really works great and is a good concept that gkf could make more reliable in a few areas for hunting.i have no trouble with the rubber on the arrow cradle or overall noise level, alot of rest can be quieted down with a few easy steps.and no i am not a gkf rep of any source,im just a honest archery hunter who likes to get feedback on certain items like so many others from the source its known from----you guys!
