Default Comments on Martin Tracer Mag Alternatives?

New to archery, planning to bowhunt in the fall.

What's your opinion of the Martin Tracer Magnum?

Is this bow "too short" for a beginner?

Thanks in advance for any comments.

Okay, so I'm a new guy.

Does that mean I have to buy a new bowtech or a new mathews?

I think the martin tracer with the tru-arc cam is a great bow!
If you shoot with a release, i don't see a problem shooting it.
I think it is one of the best values in archery!

Martins are nice bows, I had a jaguar magnum, shot good with it but had to really watch my form the brace height was to shorty for me.

The tracer has a very shootable brace height of 7.5".

I think the Martins, as a whole, are one of the most underrated companies out the myself.

One of the big issues for beginning archers is the full 15# of draw weight adjustment. You can get a 45-60# bow and start low and work the muscle memory into it. Great option for beginners. The drawlength adjustments are very user friendly as well.

I agree with trushot,
You get all the draw length modules with the tracer tru-arc cam, so you can fine tune.
It lists for 325.00, but you can buy them for much cheaper money.

Properly tuned and fitted to you, the Martin will shoot as good as any other similarly designed bow from any other manufacturer. This is why it's far more important to find the best bow shop, than it is to search for the best bow manufacturer.

If you like the Darton CPS you'll like the Tru-Arc. I've been messing around with a Razor-X-SE from the shop and it's a nice shooting bow. The only downside IME is the Tru-Arc cams are much louder than the new Nitrous and Dynacams.

I bought my 2003 Jaguar for $199.95 straight from the dealer.
