Default advice on hoyt cam 1/2

I recently purchased a Hoyt X tec. My draw length is 28 inches. The draw length range for my bow is 27-29.5. To get my correct draw length I need to set the draw module to the C setting. I've had people tell me that I don't want to shoot the cam1/2 in anything less than the D setting. they said it will perform better in the D E or F setting. If this true how does it change the performance going from those 3 down to C, and will the normal person notice the performance difference. Thanks

Unless I am miskate when I bought a cam 1/2 last year I was told that it is best to have your draw length fall in the middle of the draw length range of the bow. So from what I was told you module should be in an ideal location.

The advice buckeye gave is correct. Being in the middle setting of the draw range is ideal. I too shoot 28" out of my "X" and it was very easy to tune and shoots like a dream.

You are in the ideal setting. You may see a mimimal loss of speed.3 fps I would quess. But the wall, shootability and tunability in the middle setting is better.Notice I didn't say much better and the average person will never notice a difference.

I don't agree with the others that posted here. Ideally your limbs will be turned all the way down and your draw length is at the top of its range. Most people cannot do this because they don't know there exact draw length. But once you know, this ideally is best. Most people will not see a difference in any of the settings. I always purchase special order bows the way i want them. So i always get 27 as the high number then twist the cables/string to get 26 3/4 length draw. Just my opinion. The differnce is so little most people don't worry about it but i have no life so i do.

But the cam 1/2 is DESIGNED to be shot in the middle but you are right. Most will not notice a difference.

exactly TFOX,

your bow should perform just fine on the C setting.

TFOX,
Is right on, mid draw range is optimal.
