I agree on sales - the ouback is probably far the no 1 seller of all bows this year.

in my buddies shop they just walk in - hold it for 3 seconds and buy it. The only thing they want to hear is that it is Mathews new bow this year......................gotta love the Mathews fans

Buy an extra set of limbs,string/cable and a portable bow press instead of another bow. You'd save a bunch of money and would be easier to pack than another bow and case.

I agree that the MM VFT is one sweet shooter. If you are not going to get another Bowtech as a backup ( I would recommend the Justice or Liberty) then I would probably head towards the Hoyt Vipertec. Same short sized design as the MM VFT with almost parallel limbs, etc... It is a great little bow with almost no recoil and vibration.

I was not planning on getting an Outback......but after holding it 3 seconds and hearing it was the "new" Mathews I just had to have it !!

Speaking of brand loyality .......isn't there someone around here with a single cam Patriot, a dually, and a new Pro 40 freedom cam ?? I don't think that guy is brand loyal at all !!

Although I have handled the Hoyt Xtec and found t to be one sweet bow ,I'd still have to go with the Justice or Liberty as my back-up ,it won't happen this season but next season for sure .

John--there goes your 'patriotism', darn . Would have liked to hear you say a 'CHAMPION' --looks like you're sold on customer service as against 'performance & price'[8D].
Here goes the lid off of the can of worms--gotta go find my cover!!!

Ya know Rack... sometimes I just get so tired of the way you exaggerate and blow stuff so out of proportion when you talk about Mathews bows. I mean here you go again. Saying that people hold the new Outback in their hand for 3 seconds and have to have it. That is so wrong!! it is 3 SHOTS and they have to have it, not 3 seconds!! I just went and picked mine up tonight after 4-12 weeks of waiting. We put my new Berry strings string and cable on it and I will be putting all the goodies on it and setting it up soon. Still have the Q2 for some nostalgia shooting
So yes Rack.... I admit, I am one of "those" Mathews people.

By the way, that was meant to read 4-1/2 weeks of waiting not 4-12. Whew, Rack had me all shook up with his bashing of MY PEOPLE!!!!

I just love you guys who go out and get a new bow for a backup!

My backup is 3 years old. Tough to justify buying a new bow that won't get shot much, if ever.
