Default practice with mechs

I bought some Grim Reapers,my first try with mechanicals. What is the best way to practice with them.I tried tieing the blades back with dental floss but the blades flew open on impact into my block.I afraid I'm going to ruin them.

Default RE: practice with mechs

I shoot Rocket Sidewinders. I basically have 2 that I keep for practice only and then have seperate ones to hunt with.

Mine also have replaceable blades - I could take the time to swap out the blades when the season starts.
