Trap door arrow rests don't seem to be a popular choice in fall away rest on here why? I have 2 and i love them no cables to stretch. always work great for me just wondering why they are not popular in the forum?

I have one and have no complaints. I think there are a few guys on this board that have had bad experiences with them. The Trophy Taker seems to be pretty popular here. But to each his own!
Hmmm, I was just the opposite. I had a good experience with the Trapdoor and some frustrations with the TT. Now I am using a converted GKF Golden Premier and am entirely happy.
I had one of the previous versions of the Trapdoor and had zero problems with it. However, the gentleman I sent the rest to try out had it "go out" on him after some shooting. There must be a shot limit for the durability of these rests.
The trophy taker has better arrow suport , than the trap door and you can time the drop so it suports the arroe for the first few inches of forward movement , with the trap door it drops very quickly , too quick in some oppinions , mine included .

I've had a Trap Door on a Legacy, LX and now, an Outback, and it's worked great for me every time. I like the fact there are no strings or cables hooked to my bow.

You can time the drop of the trap door also, just a hex head screw. I know this much if you have trouble with one they will replace it no questions asked.

I have two of the trap doors mounted on my Conquest II and Pro Tec Spiral cam model. I just went to a new Ovation and was experiencing fletching contact even when i set the drop for least effort. The owner of the pro shop where I go also experienced the same problem on his new outback, we both switched to the Drop Zone and are very satisfied. I am still leaving the trap door on the other two bows (along with the Dakota arrow holders) but with the Ovation I think it has to do with lack of recoil on the bow.
