Default Help ! 452X or Ultracam ??

Berry Strings is going to make a new string for my Outback that I ordered. Wayne wants to know if I want 452X or ultracam. I don't know the difference. Could you guys tell what you would use?

BCY the makers of 452X claim total stability and only 4-5 fps slower than 8125, I would say thats hard to beat. Good luck in whatever you choose I really dont think you could go wrong with either one.

Detroit, Wayne is making my string and cable for my new Outback also. I went with the Ultracam. Heard alot of good things about it so I am trying it. Big decisions huh?

I've just recently heard of the 452X so don't have an opinion. My Pearson came from the factory with Ultracam, and it by far the best material I've used so far. I always mark my cam when I get a new bow (every year) so I can monitor creep. On my Freedom the Ultrcam stretched about 1/8" in a very few arrows and hasn't moved since. It's pretty good with abrasion, too. I don't have all the fizzies I did with 450 or 452.

It is 6 of one, 1/2 dozen of the other. Both materials are very high quality, and both resist creeping fairly well. Personally, I like the BCY materials better and would choose the 452x. I still use the 8125 on all of the strings I make for myself.

I have been using the ultracam for the strings I have been making and getting real good results with it. I have also used the regular 452 with good results. Never tried the 452x yet to make an opinion on it.

I've made lots of strings with both materials. You can't go wrong with either one. Both are top notch stuff.

452 is a smaller strand diameter than Ultracam, so the string made from 452 will have 22 strands (average) vs the 16 strands (ave) of Ultracam for the same total diamter string. If you are going with a multi-colored string, I'd go with the 452 because the greater number of strands make for a better looking multicolored string.
