Default Bowtech question

How is it that my 2003 Bowtech Pro 40 Dually's birth certificate is 71.5 lbs 29" 350 gr. 319 fps, and the 2003 Bowtech Black Knight Im thinking of buying has a birth certificate
of 61.1 lbs 29" 300gr 319 fps. these are both tested at just under 5 gr per pound, I would think the Black Knight should have a better speed rating than that. It seems it would be out of Bowtech specs.

Bowtech doesn't offer the long/short brace height anymore. It's 5 3/4" only. Are you sure the BK was 29" not 28"?

Its a 2003 tall brace height, but that still seems slow. Im reading the speed chart in my 2003 manual for 29" 70 lb IBO and it says 328-336 but then I dowload the 2003 manual off the Bowtech site and the speeds say 323-331 so they must have reduced the speed rating.

the speed specs are at 30" dl so at a shorter draw you will loose aprox 11 FPS for every inch.

In 03 the BK II was offered in short and tall brace. The short brace IBO speed was at 29" draw. The tall brace at 30". The short brace only went to 29", the tall to 30". The IBO speeds were backed off a bit last year. But then, how many 60# bows shoot 319?

I know 319 is fast but we are talking a 300 gr arrow, its still 5 gr per pound, I would bet most 60 lb 29" 2003 Patriot Duallys would do this or better. Thats 319 fps with a 300 gr arrow.

Bigpapascout the speed ratings I listed are for 29" draw lenght, If you have the manual or download one online they give the speed rating for all the draw lenghts.

Add about 15 fps for 10# and 1" = 334. Right in there. BTW, my 03 Pat Dually's BC: 61#, 29"= 318.
