Default Supernova!

Just got pics of the new Merlin Supernova, as well as final specs:

43" ATA, approx 83/4" brace
Wheels with 1" modular range, 1/2" steps on the string slots. Module
options of 55% with hard stop, 65% hard stop, 55% soft wall, 65%
soft wall, all ordered separately. Super smooth draw, speed roughly
265-270. Perfect for indoor or marked-distance rounds, very quiet.

Cams and pockets all polished, grip is slightly higher and wider than
the Max. Has a spirit level in the riser for setting up sight square with,
highly detailed engraving, carbon counterbalance which is offset to
compensate for the weight of the sight, cableguard, etc. Doinkers
fitted on sliding rod to adjust balance and aiming, eliminates need for
v-bars. Can be removed if preferred.

I have a few pics I can send to those wanting a peek, or you can see
them at Vegas.

No pricing is yet established, but it will be more expensive than the
Max with Pro-Fusions.

Good shooting, Pinwheel 12

Sag and Black Frog, they are on their way. If anyone else would like them, please e-mail me directly and I can simply hit "reply to author" and insert them. I'm getting pummelled with requests for them from all sites I visit, and this will make things easier. Thanks. Pinwheel 12

The SuperNova isn't quite what I imagined it to look like but from the pics Pinwheel sent me, (Thanks Pinwheel) I can tell it's a very high quality target bow.
The way the riser, limb pockets, and other components are milled and finished makes for a superb looking machine.
I don't particularly care for the silver finish but, I bet, the bow would look fantastic in violet, blue, or black.
The riser looks strong and very well made and those new carbon limbs look fantastic.
I enlarged the pic Pinwheel sent me and those limbs are very impressive to say the least. Only limbs I've ever seen that are on par with my Barnsdales
The SuperNova kind of reminds me of a hybrid between an Olympic Recurve and a Compound.
It looks to be an extremely accurate bow from looking at the pics Pinwheel sent.
Target shooters will be chomping at the bit.

Glad to see you approve, Sag. The bow is a prototype in the pic, the final colors will be a two-tone anodize (no extra charge) which will fade from black to your requested color. They MAY even have a special option of engraving your name on the riser should you want it! Personalized bow!

I won't know pricing for a few more days, but wanted everyone to get a peek. The pics will not do the bow justice from what I'm told, but they still give you an idea of what the bow will be like. Looking forward to getting my paws on one, and you're right, the target archers are definately interested! Good shooting, Pinwheel 12

Pinwheel,

I'm a fan of the fade colors. Sounds great!
Will the SuperNova be available with the shoot-thru ?
I would assume it would.

HMMM. excellent question, Sag, and one I never asked Ben about. Seeing as it is a twin cam, I would say yes. If not, I'm going to make my own anyway. I'll find out and let you know for certain, but I'm assuming yes. Pinwheel 12
