Default Mathews Legacy Speed Trial

I posted awhile back about getting some actual speed numbers and you guys helped me by posting yours. Well, I finally got around to shooting my new Legacy over a chronograph and here are the results:
2003 Legacy 29" draw, 69#, Trophy Taker, Copper John Pro, String loop, 1 nock, Peep, Sims stabilizer
404gr arrow...272 fps
395gr arrow...275 fps
495gr arrow...250 fps

So, it appears that in fact it's 10 fps+/- slower than a Patriot which is what it should be according to the published speeds. It is, however, virtually identical to a slightly tweaked Conquest that my brother has although the Conquest is 30"/65#.

Hope this helps someone in the future. As a side note, the bow shoots great. Very quiet, forgiving, and smooth. I've only been shooting it for around two weeks and I've had to change my target practice to shooting at multiple areas so I don't ruin all my arrows.

Thanks for the info. That sorta confirms my "guestimate" of 440gr. at somewhere between 260-270.
On a side note, I'm considering the Sims for a stab myself and would like to get your impressions on it so far. Have you played around with different configurations and if so which have you been happiest with? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for posting. That's almost my same set up.

In general, how much does one 4 inch PlastiFletch weigh?
