Default New Fletching styles???

Picked this out of one of your posts in the "dropaway" thread on the gear review forum-

Quote:
With the new fletching that spins better than a current helical on a straight fletch (coming out this year, check them at the ATA show at NAP and I think Bohning will have some new variations also) There really is no need to worry about contact any longer.
Tell us more, please

Rangeball, you are pretty sharp, don't miss much!

They have developed a new style vane that spins better with a simple straight fletch than a current helical fletching with offset, according to recent info. Word has it that the fletching is thicker on one side in the rear of the vane and this causes the arrow to spin at a much faster rate, even with straight fletch.

They will be unveiling these at the ATA show. Both NAP and Bohning are supposed to have a variation.

That's the official gossip. If true, fletching contact will thus become a thing of the past. Pinwheel 12

Kevin.

Any idea of what these new fletchings will weigh?

And will they make a feather model?

Todd, It's like sinning. Most of the time I'm not even aware I'm doing it...

Well ya see BF, that is what the edit button is for.....

As for the new fletchings....sounds cool and right up my alley since I prefer a straight fletch on all my arrows.
