Default Yet 'another' Liberty!

Hold the congratulations--'This ain't your Daddy's bow'---but--it's a Liberty yes!
I'm still confused to say the least.
My buddy called today and left a mesage to say he had gotten in some of his 04' bows, including the Liberty.
Now I'm 'still' very undecided as to what bow I'm getting this year, staying very neutral until I find the right bow for myself. Of course with all the hype of all the new 04 bows anxiety is abound, need less to say, I have learnt from making hasty decisions in the past.
However with the Liberty being one of the bows I have my 'eyes' on, upon retrieving my messages I prepared to head directly to the bow shop.
Got there, walked in--looked at my buddy and said--'Where's the bow'--he smiled and said--'You're not going to believe this one' and then handed me a Liberty, made by CHAMPION---NOT a Bow Tech---a Champion!!
Apparently this bow replaces the 02' Contender, and the 03 Wildcat--now it's the 04' Liberty, 40" ATA--NOTHING resembling the Bow Tech Liberty.
Now I'm really $crewed, confused and starting all over again!!!

Any chance he had that Diablo in stock as well. After reading about it in that head to head competition with the Bowtech Liberty I am curious to take a look at one.

Now, don't go tellin' Champion that my next suggestion for a bow name is going to be the Constitution. With my luck they will come out with a 33 inch "Constitution" next year....

Haha-- I'll remember that. Yep, he did have the Diablo, I shot that one also. Not a bad bow at all, didn't like the looks of the limbs, they seem unusually straight. JMO. Definitely not a bad bow for the price. The one that I liked was the Scorpion, I shot it again today--looks like the Patriot with the VFT limbs. Set @63# 72% LO 28" draw 300 g Vapors, left the bow @ 293 fps. Smooth draw, draws much easier than you would expect from a 63# set up, stops solid, holds steady--a little top heavy, (heavier than the Diablo).
Very quiet and no excessive recoil to shout about.
If you like the looks of a parallel limb bow, you'll like the looks of the Scorpion.
I think I 'may' fall head over heels by the end of the week.

It is funny you should mention that bow as I have not heard a peep on the boards about it. Did they just unveil their full lineup recently?

I almost posted a link to a thread on AT that is discussing the new champion bows. The scorpion is very nice looking, and you can get it with a hybrid cam system. Don't know much more than that

I think it's in the manufacturers announcements forum...

Here it is- http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/showth...threadid=50835

Thanks for the link RB. Some nice looking bows. One of the comments on that thread has me thinking though. Time to start a new thread.
