Which are quieter, Feathers or Vanes?

So what is quieter while it is flying through the air, Feathers or Vanes?

Vanes.

Vanes, so the theory goes. But it's not true across the board. Cheap vanes, worn out vanes, vanes that are pulling loose from the shaft, or vanes with tears and holes shot in them are noisier than feathers.

Especially noisier than feathers that are well broken in and fletched in a moderate helical.

I will go with Art on this one.

Some of the rubber type vanes (i.e Duravanes and AAE/Easton ) are nearly as loud as feathers..especially if your tune is off or you torque the bow.

Flex Fletch and Marco are much quieter.
