Default NEED HELP SETTING MY BOW UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not the actuall process of setting it up, I just need helping choosing accessories. My new bow is a 2004 BowTech Liberty. It will be set at a 29.5" draw length and 70# draw weight with 80% let-off. Now, I need help choosing between some set-ups, here are a few of the ones I am thinking of......

Sight. Copper John DeadNuts Hunter 3-pin (black) $44.63
Rest. N.A.P. QuickTune 2000 drop-away $38.24
Quiver. Alpine Soft Loc 5 arrow quiver (black) $28.78
Peep. Fletcher Tru Peep $2.95
Arrows. GoldTip Hunter Camos 55/75 (28.25") $47.95
Stabilizers. 2 Simms Stabilizer Enhancers (for front and back holes) $24.48

Total (with shipping) $202.97

Sight. Copper John DeadNuts Hunter 3-pin (black) $44.63
Rest. N.A.P. QuickTune 2000 drop-away $38.24
Quiver. Alpine Soft Loc 5 arrow quiver (black) $28.78
Peep. Fletcher Tru Peep $2.95
Arrows. Gold Tip 3-D Pro 55/75 (28.25") $79.95
Stabilizers. None

Total (with shipping) $211.90

Sight. Copper John DeadNuts Hunter 3-pin (black) $44.63
Rest. Trophy Taker Shakey Hunter $60.76
Quiver. Alpine Soft Loc 5 arrow quiver (black) $28.78
Peep. Fletcher Tru Peep $2.95
Arrows. GoldTip XT Camo 55/75 (28.25") $59.95
Stabilizers. None

Total (with shipping) $214.65

Sight. Copper John DeadNuts Hunter 3-pin (black) $44.63
Rest. Trophy Taker Shakey Hunter $60.76
Quiver. Alpine Soft Loc 5 arrow quiver (black) $28.78
Peep. Fletcher Tru Peep $2.95
Arrows. Beman ICS Hunter 400 (28.25") $64.95
Stabilizers. None

Total (with shipping) $217.65

Those are the set-ups that I am thinking about. As you can see, I have my mind pretty much set on the Copper John DeadNuts Hunter Sight, Fletcher Tru Peep, and the Alpine SoftLoc quiver, but, if anbody knows of anything better for around the same price, let me know.

I am trying to keep this between the $200.00 to $220.00 range!!!!!! Also, stabilizers aren't really neccasary for me as the Liberty is so shock-free and quiet with just the hush kit, that they aren't really needed.

Also, this bow will be used primarily for hunting, but, I might do a few 3-D shoots for fun (nothing serious).

Any feedback would be GREATLY appreciated as I have been trying so hard to decide what to get that I am goin nuts. I need you guys to persuade me one way or the other. Thanks!!!!!!

Excellent sight choice. I'd pick the Trophy Taker Shakey Hunter rest, Alpine softloc 3 arrow quiver instead of the 5 arrow model to save some size and weight. I'd choose the Beman ICS arrows and the SIMS stabilizer. I wish I had your decision to make. Congrats.

If it were my set up I would take the first one except change to Gold Tip xt's instead of the hunters. That only puts you at $214.97. I prefer the arrow holding prongs of the QT2000 over the flat blade of the trophy taker.

BTW, where are you shopping? Those are some good prices you got.

BM,

From a shock/vibration standpoint I would tend to agree with your assessment of the Liberty. However, as I am sure you know, a stabilizer's primary function is/was for balance and/or potentially higher levels of accuracy. Even if you don't get one at this point then I would suggest trying a few on the bow in the future. It will make a noticeable difference for most shooters and most setups.

Now, as to which I would choose....though I am not that big on drop away rests in general I would probably pick number 4 as I like the Shakey Hunter's design and I am pretty happy with the performance of my Bemans.

[:'(][:'(]

Don't get cheap with the most important part of the entire package.

Get the 3d pros or Acc's - and get them in 7595 with your set up.

Rest. N.A.P. QuickTune 2000 drop-away $38.24
Don't get cheap with the SECOND most important part of the entire package.

Get the 4000 or a rest with better adjustment than the 2000 - it is a bear

The other stuff is just that......Stuff

not to mention the NAP 2000 does not offer enough adjustment for the 2004 risers. The NAP 1000 will not work and the 2000 is the same rest in a drop-away version.

Buy the NAP 3000/4000, or a TT, ,or a Cavalier Avalanche or some other quality rest w/ plenty of adjustment, and purchase the best arrows you can afford.

Buy a cheaper quiver (if you take it off for when you hunt), stabilizer, or whatever, but don't skimp on arrows or the rest..Rack is absolutely correct.

Okay guys, thanks for the input, and here is what I am thinking now....

Sight. Copper John DeadNuts Hunter 3-pin (black)
Rest. Trophy Taker Shakey Hunter
Quiver. None right now
Peep. Fletcher Tru Peep
Arrow. GoldTip GT 3-D Pro
Stab. Not sure, the bow is balanced nicely without anything on it, so, I am open for suggestions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That setup is looking good

The short doinkers are not that expensive and will work well.

The rest and sight will change the balance - and you may want to add some weight forward or rear.

So set it up first and see how it feels and reacts to the shot.

Hey Rack,

Thanks, I never even thought of the balance after the rest and sight are on it.

I have one more question for you, why did you say to get 75/95 arrows with my set-up. Wouldn't these be over-spine or are the GT 3-D Pro's a little weaker spine?
