What Stabilizer ?

What Stabilizer work's the best with this bow ?{Bow Tech Patriot Dually}I've decided to go with the Whisker bisquit arrow rest,and I've got a Impact ArcheryCosmic sight for it.

There seems to be a growing following for the Stealth Archery stabs. I never tried one, but here a lot of good things about them.

As for me, I currently have a Sims Modular system and couldn't be happier. It does exactly what its supposed to do. Plus, its nice having a stabilizer that can be adjusted so easily for length and weight. Great Sims quality there.

It's important to pick a model that will give a variety in the balance and weight characteristics and go from there.

For shock absorption/recoil reduction, SorboTek/ProTek, Stealth,& Sims are tough to beat.

All of these models come in various lengths/weights or in the case of the Stealth, can even be custom ordered.

Knowing what I do , the "medium" SorboTek/ProTek will likely provide excellent balance in that model, assuming your sight and rest are not overly heavy or unbalancing. That said I always use the long model on my personal bows since I prefer the bow to tip forward and I also prefer the extra mass weight.

However your best bet is to hit a local shop or three that has all the models you'd like to try, and then try them. Take notes if you are going to different shops, and then make your decision.

nubo: I put a LORE stabilizer on my Hoyt MT Sort with the command cams. The bow shoots better then before and the hand shock is completely gone. I got a Newberry bow last year and I use the same stabilizer on it as well. Good luck hunting!

I settled on an 8" Stealth "Hunter" for my Patriot Dually, balanced nice with just a slow forward roll, and sucked up any remaining vibration and made the bow much quieter.
It worked perfectly, and actually the design of the Stealth with its dual chambers compliments a dual cam bow perfectly. The doinker/SIMS 'Motion" style stabilizers seem to work better with the uneven more vertical thrust of a single cam bow. The Dual cam bows have a more even forward thrust because both ends of the bow fire equally. The Stealths work exceptionally on all styles of bows but they will by design work even better on a dual or hybrid cam bow.

Thank's guy's ! I think that the Stealth 8" seem's to be a favourite around here and since Matt uses his on a dually ,I think that's the way to go. I'm not sure if I can find one in Canada ,do any of you guy's know of a bow shop that mail order's that carry them?I've checked Eder's,Bass Pro, Cabela's and Archery Experts and none of them carry them.

Cabela's DOES carry them.
Remember with average sight and rest an 8" is going to give you a bit of a forward tumble balance , while a 6" will give you a more neutral balance. The performance between the 2 lengths isn't enough to be concerned with so decide which style balance you prefer.

actually if you do get the 8" the stud is reversible, so if you prefer more weight closer to the riser you can swap it. They are weighted 60/40 in the dual chambers with the majority of the weight out front.

Thank's Matt I'm going to go to the Cabela's site and check them out.Would a doinker stubby work on the rear side of the riser to counter balance the 8" or do think that' there's any need for it ?

As long as you don't have an overly long or heavy sight adding a forward pull on that bow there is no need for any back-weight to acheive a good balance. The Patriot Dually is balanced very nicely and neutral, and nothing like the 2002 Patriot SC which really demanded back weight.
An 8" by itself will be fine. I was shooting mine with a Spot-Hogg 'Hogg-it' sight on an extension bar and I still liked the balance of the 8"

I will be using a Impact Archery Cosmic for now, but I want to get a Spott Hogg Real Deal in the near future.Are you familiar with the Cosmic ? and what do you think of them ,I like it personally as long as you got a flat shooter but I'm not struck on having to adjust in a hurry. The udjustment arm has 2 tightners on the side I tride just tightening the rear knob but found that the site itself was loose so I have to tighten both screw in knobs to secure it properly,so that's a real pain.
