I bought one of these releases yesterday so I could set up one of my bows with a loop. I generally shoot directly off the string with another Tru Fire caliper release but just wanted to try something different. I tied on a very short loop in that the peg on the release just clears the nock. After about 10 shots, the loop had stretched about 1/16 of an inch and now have plenty of room. The new release's trigger is almost on the same plane as the bow string so there is no difference in my draw length, I think I'm going to like it for target but will probably use the caliper style for hunting because it's faster and easier for me to hook up when "it's time to get serious" Anyone else try this release????[8D]
WWAG: After you use the Black Talon for a while, I think you might change your mind about using it for hunting. You'll learn to hook it onto your loop without looking down. This is surely a lot faster than other releases when using a loop.
You might also want to investigate adjusting the trigger pull.

Here's a pic Russ and I've already adjusted the trigger It's got about 3/16 of an inch of trigger travel before she goes but it's pretty light. I didn't think that it would be as light as it is because of the direct sear engagement but the parts are hardened and teflon coated. Someday I'll get brave and go lighter,,,, after I put on the catcher's mask We need a smiley with a tooth missing!!! LOL
