BUTCH JESSOP...........just curious how much they are (because they are always very cheap. I've seen them for $1 quite often) The other thing to check is solid fiberglass arrow are usually very crooked. Just roll a few and you'll see them wobble alot!
With solid glass arrows you have to grind the tapers on. You can't use one of those pencil sharpener type tapering tools like you can on wood arrows. Fiberglass will eat steel up in no time and you won't get even one taper done.
Set the platten on a disc sander to 11 1/2 degrees for nock tapers and 5 degrees for point tapers. Bowfishing tips usually take an untapered shaft, so you don't need to worry about point tapers.... Unless you're planning to do something out of the ordinary and mount glue-on points on them.
