Default Merlin

I am looking for a new bow after shooting the same Oneida H500 for the past twenty some years. Can any one tell me the closest place to northern Virginia that I can go to fondle a Merlin?

Hileft.

Go to Merlin's website and check dealer listings for the States.
They are really impressive in person!

Thanks for the link. I really need to hold one of those supernovas before I buy something else.

Hileft,

The Super Nova is the most beautiful compound ever made.
If you see it in person, you will not want another compound!

All Merlins are some of the finest crafted bows on the planet, and now with the new Pro-Fusion Plus Carbon limb technology, coupled with the stunning new "Syntech" laminated limbskins that reduce high-frequency sonic vibrations, AND protect the entire limb to boot, you certainly owe it to yourself to try one. I know a little bit about the Merlins, so if you have any questions feel free to contact me anytime. I also used to shoot an H-500 back in the mid 80's, and can tell you that you will certainly be in for a treat if you try a Supernova or pretty much any other new bow on the market! Good shooting, Pinwheel 12

Here's a pic of the Pro-Fusion limbs with the "Syntech" laminates--

Merlin makes a fine bow if my max3000 is any indication of their other models . The omega cam system and the total bow design makes for consistant shoting . The only question I have is why are both of their short bows this year , the quest , and max extreme , only available with an 8" brace . It would be nice if they had a short treestand bow that had 7 or 7 1/2 brace for that extra 5 to 10 fps . Lets here it Pinwheel . One other thing I love their camo much nicer than the realtree extra green everyone seams to be useing this year , man thats an ugly patern , I think hardwoods would have been a much better choice , as most pepole hunt from tree stands and in the fall there is'nt much green up there .

Ijimmy-

Merlin decided to give hunters more forgiveness this year, and an 8" brace will do this along with allowing the hunter to shoot with heavier clothing without possibilty of arm slap. Both the Max 3000 and the Vision have 7.2" brace. We also offered the Quest 35 with rapid cam in 2002 with a much lower brace of around 7" and it didn't sell all that well for whatever reason, so have opted to concentrate on forgiveness, quietness, and accuracy more than the speed factor for huntering purposes, much like most other manufacturers are doing this year. Both bows produce competitive speeds anyway, with plenty of KE to boot, so I see no problem. I'll be carrying a Max-Xtreme on my 2004 hunts. Good shooting, Pinwheel 12

Merlin is a very sharp looking bow this year.I shoot MATHEWS now but i'm always looking for a better bow--time will tell what brand will be at the top after the 'show'.Right now BOWTECH & MERLIN both seem to be working with the public this year--it's all good for the consumer!jmho.
