A "good" bow is one that fits the archer correctly in terms of both draw weight and draw length as well as overall feel before during and after the shot. A "good" bow is one that is built to tight tolerances and offers a durable, reliable and consistant overall design. The name on the limbs does not matter. The price on the tag does not matter.
If you are just looking to get into the sport then may I suggest one of the lower priced alternatives such as the PSE Nova and Hoyt Ultrasport. Both offer very good adjustability in terms of draw length. Both offer a relatively smooth draw cycle.
