I'm looking for ya'lls opinion on peep sights. Do ya'll use them? If so, what kind, and do you use them just for hunting or for 3D too? I have two that I can't decide on using. One is a C-Peep w/ the rubber to keep it straight and the other is the 2x2 without the rubber. I tried to get away from the rubber because I was hearing a popping sound when I shot. But the 2x2 doesn't always line up straight when I draw back. What should I do?
I ditched the peep sights a few years back in order to avoid their uncertanties and added string weight. I went with a No-Peep by Timberline and haven't looked back. Wide open clear sight picture, dead on anchor repeatability and most importantly, utmost confidence...

I've tried just about everything over the years and I've gone back to a sta - brite peep with the tubing. I bored out the hole from a 1/4 to 5/16th and with the tritium pin I can get good target aquisition all the way to legal even in the thick stuff on a cloudy night. For hunting I've found nothing better.

I use a Super-Peep. Its lightweight and small and has no rubber tubing. (doesn't effect arrow speed much compared to bigger peeps and rubber tubing) The really nice thing about the Super-Peep is that the hole size is adjustable! the center is threaded, so for hunting I use the biggest size. For target shooting leagues I put in the smallest one I am cofortable with. When shooting 3D I use something in the middle. Its a very high quality peep!
