Default Liberty or Justice???

I have been reading and looking at all the info I can dig up on these two bows. It seems all anyone is talking about is the Liberty. I would think the little brother would share many of the qualitites of the Liberty, only smaller. Is this the case? If so, why are more people not singing its praises. If not, why? For the few who have shot both these bows, how do they compare?

Thanks,
JMAC

I don't know of anyone here except for BowTechShooter and possibly Pdq (Phil) who has shot the Justice.

I suspect all the hoopla is about the Liberty because it's a bit of a better performer and (by todays standards) is more mid length in axle to axle. Shorter bows while still very popular, seem to be taking a backseat to the slightly longer models in the past year or so.

From what I've heard it's every bit as nice as the Liberty shooting wise. For those folks who value a very compact bow, and are not concerned with all out speed, it's probably a good choice. I am considering one myself now as Santa Claus (read: the mrs.) says I've been extra good this year

JeffB hit it. I think think bows in the 34"- 36" range are pretty hot right now! the trend had been to go shorter and they are really nice for treestand hunting. But there seems to be a bit of bounce back to 34" - 36" bows because they're usually alittle easier and more forgiving to shoot!

Good Luck!

I shoot a 30.5 ATA bow currently. I am primarily a hunter, and as the Justice only has 4 fps less than the Liberty, it is definitely on my list of must shoot...

I'm just waiting for Jeff to get his and tell us all about them

I am still sitting here waiting for my Justice to turn up

Hopefully it will get here soon so I can put it through its paces and report to you guys.

But looking at the specs IMO it is going to be a great tree stand bow for those cold days where you are rugged up.

Forgiveness is what I want too. Primarily a hunter, with 3D in the summer for "off season" practice. Seems like the speed and an 8" brace height, this could be a fun bow to shoot.

As forgiving as super short axle to axle length bows can be I think this one is probably tops (based on specs alone). Its large brace height coupled with the smooth draw caming and very respectable speed should make it an excellent "tight quarter" hunting bow.

I tend to agree with the others as to why more folks aren't commenting on it further. First, it really has not reached anyone's hands yet. Second, there are several other Bowtechs with very similar specs but better speed or that have been around longer. Three, super short bows are not quite as popular as those in the mid-range in terms of length.

Also, it seems that those speaking highly of the Liberty were/are shooting longer ATA bows such as the Patriot, etc prior to the Liberty's introduction.

I shot the Liberty and Justice side by side. They both aimed & held well. The added brace height on the Justice is definetly a plus. As far as which is quieter and smoother shooting, it's a toss up. Both are whisper quiet and do nothing when shot but fling an arrow.
Back to bed, flu.
