Default Bow tuning and general info

First of all I would like to say thankyou to every one who has answered one of my previous posts. I am new to the sport and can not seem to get enough information about it! But to the question at hand I have just purchased a parker hunter mag and it came with a red dot site and quick tune rest and although red dot sights are not prohibited in my state I would like to sart shooting right away and maybe switch to a no peep by timberline in time. My question is how do you go about sighting in a bow? What distance should you start at and what is the max distance you should shoot. I amnot stupid just have very little knowledge about bows and am looking to try and learn things right before creating bad habits.

It would probably be best to start at 10 yards( you dont want to lose too many arrows).

Move your sights in the direction the arrow is hitting ie if it hits left of target then move the sight left if it hits low the lower the sight.

Once you have done all the adjustments at 10 yards then move out to 20 yards and repeat the process then for all other distances you want to shoot.

Probably would be best if you pick up a pin sight that way you can adjust each individual pin.
