Whats my draw??

I' m in the market for a new bow,mine was given to me 7-8years ago and I know nothing about itexcept I wont take a shot outside 20yards (unless it' s at a target).
I want to know how I find out what my correct draw should be?Can I use a tape and measure from my palm to my trigger finger?

Try the wingspan method. Face to wall with your arms out to the side. Have someone mark your finger tips at the farthest point. Measure this distance then subtract 15" . Divide that number by 2 and you should be close.

Example- 73" reach minus 15" = 58" . 58/2=29" draw.

How can I find out the draw on the bow I have now?
Ya see,my buddies are always giving me grief about the bow I use.
They are the type to buy a new setup every year,have to have the lastest gadgets ,will buy 5 different rest and end up useing the first one they had anyway(duh)
Myself on the other hand havent bought a thing except broadheads for years,but I do fill my card evey year.And I have never taken a lame shot[:-].
The bow I' m looking to get is 2003 Hoyt Super Tec, Spiral Cam and a ½, with XT2000 limbs.

Do you know anything about it??
Or any tips I should know before spending $500
