Default Overspined arrows? What results?

Just curious, if you bought slightly bigger arrows what negative things could happen to arrow flight.

Thanks!

Slightly overspined arrows is what I normally choose. They are far more forgiving than slightly under spined arrows. Buy them a bit overspined. Tweaking spine is easily handled by adjusting arrow length, draw weight and tip weight.

Stiffer spined arrows( overspined) are more forgiving for broadhead grouping.
You can get away with a lighter spined arrow for target shooting though.

They should also penetrate better due to less deflection. Two ways to " stiffen" up your current arrows is to cut them as short as possible or put a lighter head on it.

Reducing draw weight also makes them act stiffer.

types of fletchings can effect the spline also, mainly being the difference in weight between them.

As long as you are talking slightly overspine, then yes, all the above is true but if you are talking way overspine, then the arrow will not want to fly straight and will be flying sideways through the air and that will not penetrate better or carry a fixed blade broadhead worth a darn. The only way to get it to tune would be by moving the rest out of correct centershot and therefore causing a very hard to shoot bow.
